YELLOW BOX - Fibre Recycling Box • Household newspaper, magazines, catalogues, flyers and junk mail • Boxboard/paperboard: cereal boxes (no wax bags inside), cracker boxes, tissue boxes, “paper” egg cartons (no eggshells), toilet paper/paper towel rolls • Office paper, eg. writing, typing and computer paper • Cardboard, corrugated brown paper bags • Soft cover books, hard cover books with spine and cover removed only • Coffee/pop trays • Shredded paper must be in a clear plastic bag • Cardboard to be broken into 2’ x 2’ bundles and tied. Tour the site, see a camper's cabin, take a stroll on the beach and enjoy a free BBQ lunch. Camp Lau-Ren is a children's summer sleep-away camp. Located at 210 Lau-Ren Rd. Township of Laurentian Hills ON. Camp Lau-Ren is 10 KM west of Deep River ON, on the Ottawa River. The camp offers five-night camps for children and youth ages 8–15, an all-girls camp, and a two-night camp for ages 6–7. Accredited by the Ontario Camps Association and the United Church of Canada, the camp has been in operation since 1952. Campers enjoy canoeing, swimming, crafts and campfires, have lots of fun, and make life-long friends and memories. See you at the June 8 Open House! More information at <camplau-ren.com>. The Valley Artisans' Gallery will be hosting a One Day Tent Event The Valley Artisans' Gallery will be hosting the one day Tent Event on Saturday, June 8th in support of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, Ottawa Valley chapter. There will be live music, food truck, artists in tents selling and demonstrating their creative process and the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society talking about their conservation efforts in the Ottawa Valley. Open daily 10 am to 5:30 pm at 33373 highway 17 in Deep River. The fundraising art show will continue inside the Valley Artisans' Gallery until July 7th. |
